DR David L Berman

Dr. David L Berman is an experienced Sports Medicine Specialist in Podiatry. He has and continues to work with professional, college and high school athletes, as well as with tri-athletes and marathon runners. Many of his patients are ?weekend warriors? and those exercising to maintain healthy life styles by participating in various sports and physical activities. He treats a variety of injuries including sprains, fractures, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis in both children and adults. Dr. Berman is Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics and his practice is dedicated to diagnosing the cause of any injury. Many are overuse injuries. This enables him to give the patient a specific treatment plan about how to relieve symptoms, return to desired activity and prevent injuries from recurring. This may include proper balancing of the foot and ankle through the fabrication of custom made orthotics specific for their individual sports. These imbalances may cause symptoms in the feet, ankle, knee and hips. Proper flexibility is also needed and can be accomplished via stretching and strength exercises. Proper shoes for the patients? foot type and sport are suggested. Dr. Berman is certified in Sports Nutrition and Personal Training. He and his patients enjoy discussing the various foods and supplements to help increase their energy and endurance.
