Founded in 1989 by John Vannus, our team members at 4 Star Electric have been setting themselves apart as Calgary's best electricians for 30 years. From the beginning, John knew that he wanted to build a business his young sons could be proud of. Which is why it has always been John's goal to provide Calgarians with the highest quality workmanship and the friendliest customer service possible.As a dad welcoming his fourth child, John knew he needed to take his trade to the next level in order to provide for his family. Electricians were in high demand in Alberta, and he enjoyed the balance of textbook knowledge and technical skill necessary in electrical work. But, he knew he could create a truly great business and provide for his wife and boys by giving the people of Calgary a new, more affordable electrician with exceptional customer service. He founded 4 Star Electric as a sole proprietor working out of the Vannus family home. Over the last three decades, his tenacity and dedication have expanded 4 Star's humble beginnings into a thriving business with 10 office staff and 18 field staff.
