NEVER EVER EVER TRUST THIS GUY!
In April, we got a request from the IRS for some back up documentation. We took that to Apex and they said, no problem, we'll take care of this.
A month later we got a $43,000 bill from the IRS. They disallowed ALL of of expenses/costs/losses because David never bothered to call them or provide the documentation he said he had. So, now we have a tax bill and an audit. No problem, David says, he'll just cleat things up at the audit in May.
He shows up to the audit late and unprepared. When the auditor asked for the documentation again - ooops. He didn't have it with him. So he says he will fax it tomorrow, no problem, he's got us covered.
A month goes by AGAIN and we get a letter from the IRS saying that we have two weeks to get that paperwork to them. Went to David, OH! YEAH! He mailed it! OMG! They must have lost it. No worries, he'll take care of it ....
For the next month, every time we called, he had either just mailed it, or was hand carrying it to the IRS the next day, or it would be ready for us to pick-up tomorrow .... finally my husband had to go to his office and WATCH HIM do the work. Then he finally says he can't find our paperwork, can we get it to him again. At least, six weeks after the IRS letter and a month after the deadline, the paperwork gets mailed.
IRS sent it back, it's too late - no surprise to me. So I call Apex, and he says ohnonononononononono it's not late! I'll go take care of it tomorrow!!
I will be picking up all of my property from Apex tomorrow and then calling a lawyer.
What a jackass. He should not be in business.
