Allison Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center: Dawn Allison, MD

Dr. Allison is a Mayo Clinic-trained board-certified dermatologist in Bend, Oregon who specializes in skin cancer screenings, diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin cancer.  At Allison Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, she also treats general dermatologic conditions such as photoaging, warts, acne, age spots, and rashes.  She believes that patient education and early detection are essential.  
Dr. Allison completed her dermatology residency at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she was selected by the faculty to serve as chief resident.  After finishing her residency in 1999, she spent one year working with Mayo Clinic professor and dermatologist Dr. Charles Dicken. In 2000 she moved to Bend and became the regions first female dermatologist.  A native of Ohio, she chose to start her practice in Bend because it is a great place to raise her seven children.
Dr. Allison’s path to dermatology began at the Ohio State University School of Medicine where she did melanoma research and earned her medical degree.  She completed her internship at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Since opening Allison Dermatology & Skin Care Center, Dr. Allison has helped thousands of patients and earned a reputation as an outstanding skin cancer specialist.
Outside of the office, Dr. Allison enjoys attending her children’s activities, cross-country skiing, kayaking the high lakes, hiking, and everything outdoors.  She is grateful to be living and working in this wonderful community.
In an age when medical practices are selling their practices to out-of-state venture capitalist investors and large corporate groups,  Dr. Allison is proud to be locally owned and independently operated.
